About Our Region

Simcoe County Region is a new region that was started by Kris Burns and Dr. Patty Lechten in 2020-2021. In 2022-2023, Kris Burns completed her term, and Dr. Karren Prost has stepped in! Simcoe region ran its first One Health clinic in 2022 serving people and pets. Since then, Simcoe County Region aims to have two One Health Clinics per year, collaborating with community partners. We have also been able to support in several community emergencies such as emergency care and vaccination of pets to be able to house the pets and people in an encampment. We look forward to ramping up clinics in 2023-2024, as we forge community partnerships.
