Margot Mercer

Spay and Neuter Program Coordinator

Margot’s passion for animal rescue took root 25 years ago while walking shelter dogs in NYC and volunteering at a rehabilitation centre upstate. With a background in art history, she once thrived in the Manhattan art world—but after 9/11, she returned home to Canada with the goal of dedicating herself fully to animal welfare. Over the years, she has fostered over 20 dogs and somehow managed to adopt only five of them! She is most proud of her volunteer work at CVO clinics where she helps her team deliver a spectrum of care for both animals and their guardians. Additionally, she coordinates spay and neuter surgeries for CVO clients to provide them the peace of mind they deserve.
