About Our Region

The Halifax Region started in the fall of 2022. We have started relationships with organizations serving the homeless and vulnerably housed in the downtown Halifax area.

Through Pet Fairs, the Halifax team has provided food, pet supplies and discussions with pet owners accessing services through Shelter Nova Scotia through their access center - “the Hub”. We are also working with the North End Community Health Center that provides a mobile service of primary medical care for homeless, vulnerably housed, street involved or underserved individuals. We are planning a veterinary primary care mobile clinic alongside their Mobile Outreach Street Health van.
