Dr. Karren Prost

Karren Prost is a veterinarian with a strong passion for public health and preventative medicine. After earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College, she went on to complete a Master of Public Health (Epidemiology) at the University of Toronto. She is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine and has worked in both clinical practice and research, including studies on aerosolized viruses in dogs, humans, bats and pigs.

Dr. Prost is currently focused on advancing community-based veterinary care, working with Community Veterinary Outreach to improve access to veterinary services for underserved populations. She is committed to promoting public health through education, preventative care, and evidence-based practices.

Outside of her professional work, Dr. Prost enjoys spending time with her husband, young daughter, and their pets. She is also an avid mountain biker.
