David Brooks

David Brooks is a marketing leader over 30-years of experience in the animal health world (almost 5 dog-years!). Starting as a fledgling co-op student in a veterinary clinic, David's journey has been fueled by a deep love for animals and a flair for innovation. Now, as the Sr. Director of Marketing and Category Management at NVA Canada, he blends his passion for pets with a love of technology and practice efficiency, crafting strategies that make tails wag and practices purr.

David’s career has taken him through exciting chapters at Pfizer/Zoetis, where he managed expansive portfolios, led energetic teams, and consistently drove growth with a paws-on approach to both sales and marketing. His journey continued with eight fur-tastic years at Royal Canin, making their therapeutic diets the top pick for vets across the country and leading teams that thrived.

With a B.Sc. in Animal Science from the University of Guelph, David combines hands-on experience with a sharp-as-a-claw mind for marketing that is squarely centered on the pet parent. Whether he’s launching a new product, looking at new ways to communicate, or streamlining practice workflows, David is on a mission to make the veterinary world a better place—one wag, purr, and streamlined practice at a time.
